Description: Villa Rosa Designs Intrigue Pattern Card. There is something intriguing about this quilt and it's all in how the eye sometimes tricks us into seeing something that is not true. Squares are "framed" and depending on how the block is then turned making some blocks look larger than others. Fat Quarter friendly. Finished size 56 x 72 inch. Includes instructions, color diagrams and photos, all on a handy 4 x 6 inch card.

vague directions
I have used the Villa Rosa cards before to make quilts and had no problems. This particular one said it was for fat quarters or 10 inch squares. I used 10 inch squares, but it really didn't tell how many you needed. I was able to figure out that you needed 12 for the main square but then it said if using 10 inch squares to cut each into 2- 5x9-1/2 inch strips. It didn't tell how many but I assumed it meant all that were left after cutting the 12 squares for the middle of the block. I realized after I started sewing the blocks there would not be enough of the strips. I ended up cutting the strips in half again which changed the size of the quilt blocks and I didn't like them as well. If you are using a layer cake for this pattern, you will need more than one.I Don't Recommend This ProductAbout Me: Sewer or QuilterSkill Level: Intermediate

Loved this pattern...
I loved this pattern....fairly easy to follow. This is only my 2nd quilting project and 2nd purchased pattern. I used a lot of mixed fabrics...large prints, small prints & batiks. I thought it turned out very nice! I Recommend This ProductAbout Me: Sewer or QuilterSkill Level: Beginner
