We used these for our homeschooling group and with the modifications mentioned in other reviews they worked fine. We recut all the pieces that fit inside the wagon and purchased a pack of longer nail and they went together great. If we had not known about these problems, it would have been a very frustrating project. However, it is a great price for all the supplies "cut" and ready to go (who has time to go find wheels, design, and cut these pieces for less then $2.50?). It does beg the question, as previous reviewers have mentioned, has anyone at Darci bothered to put this kit together? That said, I would buy the kit again.About Me: General CrafterSkill Level: Beginner

Great Kit
This is the very best $2 kit made today anywhere. I bought it elsewhere to see how it went together. I paid $4 for it. There are a couple things I would change on it but it is the very best quality, craftsmanship and material anywhere on earth for the price. I highly recommend it for kids that actually match the age group. You will have to size a couple things so buy a small set of diamond files for about $9 at a hobby shop. If you are into wood crafts you will need one anyway. They should sell it here online. Any child within the advertised age group with a little supervision will be able to do well and have a finished project they can be proud of. I'm 66. I added a water barrel, pinned the front axle so it turns, replaced the draw bar and I am proud of mine.About Me: General CrafterSkill Level: Intermediate

Darice wood wagon review
I use the wagons with about 70 4th graders each year for many years and will continue to. Two problems that need fixing. The wooden end pieces for the body of the wagon are a little too wide to fit, making the box hard to glue together and frustrating for the students. I know it says to sand first, but that's not happening, and beside, it would take a belt sander-it's that far off. Just cut them the same width as the bottom piece. The other thing is the nails need to big bigger. I use size 3/4 x 19 ,those keep the wheels on and the head is big enough to hold the toungue with its pre-drilled hole. I can't help to wonder year after year, if anyone at Darice has ever taken 5 min. to build one. Just trying to be helpful, Thanks, Chris I Recommend This ProductAbout Me: OtherSkill Level: Intermediate

What do you expect for under $2?
Well, it is a kit of poorly cut pieces that don't really fit without quite a bit of modification to them....longer nails help as well. What do you expect for something under $2? You certainly get your money's worth I guess....better than nothing but close to it.I Don't Recommend This ProductAbout Me: General CrafterSkill Level: Intermediate

Covered Wagon
it was poorly made which makes construction difficult for 6-10 year olds. The pieces are not equal in length which make it very difficult. We decided not to use them for our class.I Don't Recommend This ProductAbout Me: General CrafterSkill Level: Beginner
