Big Foot Tool Jaws Quilt Clips

I've been hand quilting for many years, but using a home machine to quilt for just the past two years. I'm totally self-taught, so had to figure out how to make my machine do what I wanted, which entailed much pulling, pushing, folding and sweating. Then I decided to try various clips to keep my bed sized quilts from dragging all over. The red coated oval clips added too much weight. So then I tried the aluminum oval bicycle clips and became concerned they would scratch my sewing table cabinet and machine. So I got these plastic circles to try. The good news is they don't scratch, nor do they weigh down the quilt sandwich. But I still feel restricted in moving a quilt around on the cabinet's work surface and in that 6" machine harp. I guess they're okay, but I find using large safety pins keeps the sandwich flat and is easier to push, pull and tug the quilt in the directions I need to go. Of the three choices mentioned, I like these clips the best, but don't know if I like them enough to really change the way I've been managing the past couple of years. I am trying this out on the long arm quilt frame - instead of of rolling the top - I'm just letting it hang off the end and using these clips to hold it in place. works great! I Recommend This ProductAbout Me: Sewer or QuilterSkill Level: Intermediate
